Develops and implements educational and staff development programs for Patient Care Services and/or facility.
Requirements
- Directs Nursing orientation and staff development to validate and enhance competence of clinical staff.
- Supports implementation and utilization of clinical nursing research.
- Incorporates System and institutional values, goals and objectives into various educational programs presented to staff.
- Directs the development and implementation of continuing education programs in Nursing.
- Evaluates program outcomes and makes modifications as needed.
- Participates in Nursing Quality Improvement activities. Promotes interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Networks to establish Hospital as a pre-eminent source of professional education, healthcare information and patient care delivery.
- Analyzes expenses and operations, implements cost effective alternatives which promote quality improvement.
- Performs related duties as required.
