Job Description
The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist will administer anesthesia and related care, monitor vital functions, and act as the patient's advocate during anesthesia. They participate in quality improvement and will support the physician in their patients’ care. The role involves continuous quality improvement activities (CQI).
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse Licensed in the State of Mississippi or Compact State
- Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the AANA Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs or its predecessor
- Current certification or recertification from AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists or its predecessor's certification
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Current PALS certification
- At least one (I1) year experience as a CRNA preferred
- Basic computer knowledge
- Working knowledge of anesthesia equipment
- Advanced pharmacology knowledge
