Job Description
Casual Midwife position available at NorWest Community Health Centres in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Responsibilities include providing midwifery services, disease prevention, health promotion, and education to clients. Casual position with fluctuating hours.
Requirements
- General Registrant in good standing with the College of Midwives of Ontario
- Member of the Association of Ontario Midwives
- Current HIROC liability insurance certificate or eligible to obtain
- Up to date NRP, FHS, CPR, and Emergency skills certification
- Minimum 5 years' experience working as a midwife
- Demonstrated experience in low-risk and complex prenatal, intra-partum, and post-partum care
- Highly motivated to work with high needs populations
- Awareness of and sensitivity to health issues particular within populations who face barriers to accessing care
- Creative thinker with ability to generate new ideas and challenge assumptions
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Proficiency in computer technology/software (Microsoft Office, Outlook, etc.)
