Communications Intern position at NorWest Community Health Centres. Working with the Communications Lead to create online content, design materials, produce videos, and promote programs and events. Contributing to the well-being of the communities served.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a post-secondary program in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva) and video production tools (e.g. Capcut)
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms and digital communication trends.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Experience with website content management systems (e.g., WordPress) is a strong asset.
- Knowledge and proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel/MS Word)
- A creative, collaborative, and organized individual with a positive attitude.
- Familiarity with the Thunder Bay community is highly desirable.
- A genuine interest in community health, social justice, and health equity.
- Valid driver’s license, access to a vehicle and ability to travel to other service locations is preferred
