Communications Intern

Communications Intern position at NorWest Community Health Centres. Working with the Communications Lead to create online content, design materials, produce videos, and promote programs and events. Contributing to the well-being of the communities served.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a post-secondary program in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
• Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva) and video production tools (e.g. Capcut)
• Strong knowledge of social media platforms and digital communication trends.
• Strong writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Experience with website content management systems (e.g., WordPress) is a strong asset.
• Knowledge and proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel/MS Word)
• A creative, collaborative, and organized individual with a positive attitude.
• Familiarity with the Thunder Bay community is highly desirable.
• A genuine interest in community health, social justice, and health equity.
• Valid driver’s license, access to a vehicle and ability to travel to other service locations is preferred
