Job Description
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner (RN-EC) to provide services within the RN-EC scope of practice at the Thunder Bay site of NorWest Community Health Centres. The position has a competitive salary, the Health Care of Ontario Pension Plan and an excellent group health benefit package.
Requirements
- BScN in nursing from a recognized University
- Current registration in the (RN-EC) extended class from the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- Nursing experience in a combination of remote, rural, hospital and community settings and/or public health
- Experience providing services within a walk-in clinic setting
- Experience in supporting individuals living with mental health and substance misuse challenges
- Awareness and sensitivity to socio-economic and cultural issues affecting the populations we serve
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility in work hours and ability to work at different sites as required
