An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified, highly skilled and experienced Specialist Teacher for Deaf Children and Young People to contribute to the success of the Hearing Support Team by taking on the leadership role as Senior Teacher.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status, including the Mandatory Qualification for Teachers of Deaf Children and Young People
- Substantial knowledge and direct experience in effectively assessing, supporting and promoting the inclusion and attainment of children and young people with a diagnosis of Deafness
- Experience of working in partnership with schools, other support services, and agencies to improve outcomes for pupils
- Leadership experience with good interpersonal skills, with the ability to deliver training and lead professional supervision
- Ability to manage a caseload effectively, prioritise work and demonstrate effective time management
- Significant experience of working appropriately in accordance with relevant statutory and local policies and procedures for SEND
