Job Description
The Cape Breton-Victoria Regional Centre for Education is seeking a School Social Worker to provide supports to students, families, and school staff. The successful candidate will identify and address at-risk situations, participate in school teams, and offer counselling and referral services.
Requirements
- Master's degree in social work
- Registration with the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers
- Nova Scotia Teaching Certificate or Special Certificate from the Nova Scotia Department of Education and Early Childhood Development, Office of Teacher Certification
- Three to five years' experience working in a clinical mental health setting
- Experience with a variety of agencies providing services to children and youth
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with professionals in the above named systems
