Job Description
The South Shore Regional Centre for Education is seeking a Substitute Teacher with a Bachelor of Education (BEd) and current Nova Scotia Teachers Certification for their schools. The SSRCE operates culturally responsive pedagogy, serving a diverse population within a 5,250 sq km area with 23 schools. Responsibilities include substituting on call, communicating with diverse backgrounds, and ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements
- Valid Nova Scotia Teacher Certification (minimum TC 5 or ITC preferred)
- Bachelor of Education
- Experience teaching grades P-12
- Ability to communicate and work alongside diverse cultural and racial backgrounds
- Ability to value the voice and contribution of others while remaining open to corrective criticism
