Senior Consultant - Satcom Payload Designer

Novaspace, a leading consulting firm in the space sector, is seeking a Senior Consultant - Satcom Payload Designer to join their team in Toulouse, France. The role involves supporting clients in technical consulting projects related to Satcom payloads, including concept analysis, system feasibility, and procurement. The ideal candidate will have experience in satellite communications, payload engineering, and be capable of managing consulting projects and interacting with clients globally.

Requirements

• MSc in space engineering with a major preferably in telecommunications
• At least 7 years of practical industry experience in satellite communications field
• Proven practical experience in supporting communication satellite bid as Payload Engineer
• Designing complex payload system (including VHTS, onboard processing, software defined satellites, passive and active antenna systems)
• Deep understanding of the key performance parameters driving the design /trade-offs in operational scenarios
• Proven ability to appreciate the commercial and operational requirements
• Proven ability to address technical problems using mathematical analysis, computer simulation and experimentation
• Well organized and autonomous to manage consulting projects
• Great team spirit and rigor
• Ability to summarize complex information efficiently
• Proficiency in writing reports and presentations
• Good presentation and communication skills
• Ability to travel
• Fully fluent in English
• EU citizen
