Job Description
The ICLA Project Officer will lead and provide support to ICLA CC implementation across the field offices in NBEG, WBEG and Warrap States through planning, execution, monitoring, evaluation, learning, team management, documentation and reporting among others. The ICLA Project Officer will further work closely with the project teams, government institutions and officials, UN Agencies, technical experts, implementing partners, beneficiaries, and civil society to support successful implementation of ICLA projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in social sciences or Humanities from a recognized University
- Experience working as a Legal Aid/Access to Justice Project Officer in a humanitarian/recovery context
- Previous experience working in complex and volatile contexts
- Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal
- Knowledge of the SS context
- Knowledge of Arabic and other local languages an advantage
- Good-level competency in computer skills (common Microsoft Windows and Office applications)
- Proven skills and experience in report writing
- Strong organizational and logistical skills and the ability to work with little infrastructure and to function in difficult situations including limited transport options
