The Norwegian Refugee Council is seeking a Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Adviser for its Middle East Office in Amman, Jordan. The successful candidate will provide hands-on support to develop and implement MEL systems, tools, and guidance, and ensure compliance with Nabni and donor requirements.
Requirements
- Relevant university degree within the field of social sciences, statistics, research, international development or economics, or other related fields of study.
- At least 3 years of MEL experience in an international organisation, preferably in a development and/or post conflict context.
- Demonstrated experience with and knowledge of principles and current approaches to Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning, data collection, and analysis – including both qualitative and quantitative methods.
- Prior experience developing or managing partnerships with local and national non-governmental/civil society organisations is mandatory.
- Experience facilitating capacity-building for local partners, with a strong ability to transfer knowledge through training, mentoring, and formal and informal approaches.
- Analytic and computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Skills in other analytical or presentation software such as PowerBI is an advantage.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Fluency in both English and Arabic, written and verbal.
- Prior experience working with KfW-funded projects and/or knowledge of KfW requirements is an advantage.
- Prior experience working in the MENA Region is mandatory.
- Experience working in complex, volatile, and rapidly changing contexts.
