Leader Patient Flow Operations - Access and Flow

Nova Scotia Health is seeking a Leader Patient Flow Operations to oversee nursing administration and patient care services within the facility. The role involves supervising nursing staff, coordinating hospital and bed utilization activities, and ensuring staffing levels meet patient census. The successful candidate will have a baccalaureate degree in nursing, three years of medical/surgical experience, and two years of nursing management experience.

Requirements

• Baccalaureate degree in nursing
• Registered or eligible for registration with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing
• Minimum of three (3) years medical/surgical experience or equivalent in an acute care setting
• Minimum of two (2) years’ nursing management experience
• BCLS required
• ACLS is an asset
• Demonstrated leadership, planning, organization and time management skills
• Ability to promote and maintain good interpersonal relations in dealing with patients, visitors and other health professionals
• Ability and knowledge to match utilization needs to resources available
• Ability to perform duties that involve lifting, bending and stretching
• Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
