School Counsellor - Provisional, KickStart Graduate Employment Program - Galston Public School

The NSW Department of Education is seeking a School Counsellor to join the KickStart Graduate Employment Program at Galston Public School. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a team of dedicated professionals to provide mental health and wellbeing services to children and young people in NSW public schools. As a participant of the KickStart program, the candidate will receive professional support and supervision, as well as a comprehensive onsite tailored training program to equip them with the necessary skills to work full-time within the School Counselling Service.

Requirements

• Full approval to teach or eligibility for approval to teach in NSW Department of Education schools
• Completion of required psychology studies with available transcripts to make the candidate eligible to undertake their 5+1 internship program as a provisional psychologist
• Provisional registration with the Psychology Board of Australia
• Australian citizenship or permanent residency
• Valid and current Working with Children Check clearance
• Ability and willingness to travel between work sites
• Valid unrestricted provisional or full driver’s licence
