Job Description
Certified Surgical Technologists (CSTs) provide safe and effective care to patients during intra-operative periods by delivering technical support to surgical teams. They perform sterile procedures, instrument selection and cleaning, positioning, and surgical counts, adhering to hospital policies. Responsibilities include maintaining a sterile environment, utilizing appropriate instruments and sterilization methods, and ensuring accurate patient positioning.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification (1-3 years experience required)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Working in a high-risk medical environment.
- Exposure to sanitation issues (dirt, odors, noise, etc).
