Job Description
Sharon Hospital is seeking a Mental Health Worker (MHW) to provide direct and indirect patient care under the direction of an RN or physician. The MHW assists patients with activities of daily living, provides emotional support, performs clinical skills, and helps with admission, discharge, and transfers. Patient care focuses on the standard of care for each patient's age and condition.
Requirements
- Education: High school graduate
- Work Experience: One (1) year prior experience in a psychiatric setting preferred
- BLS Certification within 90 days of hire
- Must pass CT, MA, or NY CNA certification.
- Ability to manage and operate equipment safely and correctly
