Job Description
Nuvance Health is seeking a Mental Health Worker (MHW) for evening shifts at designated locations like Danbury Hospital, New Milford Hospital, Norwalk Hospital, Sharon Hospital, and physician practices. The MHW will provide direct and indirect patient care under the direction of an RN or physician, assisting with activities of daily living and performing clinical skills. The role involves patient education, monitoring, and ensuring a safe environment.
Requirements
- High school graduate or currently enrolled in a college program for psychiatric or health-related field.
- BLS Certification within 90 days of hire.
- CPI Certification within 30 days of hire.
- 1 year prior experience in a psychiatric setting (preferred)
- Experience as a nurse's aide preferred.
- Ability to perform manual tasks and dexterity.
- Ability to work in various physical environments.
