Job Description
Nuvance Health is seeking a Mental Health Worker (MHW) for a per diem position based in Carmel, New York. The MHW provides direct and indirect patient care, assisting patients with activities of daily living, providing emotional support, and performing clinical skills under the supervision of an RN or physician. Responsibilities include patient education, medication administration, and maintaining a safe environment.
Requirements
- High school graduate
- One (1) year prior experience in a psychiatric setting preferred
- BLS Certification within 90 days of hire
- CPI Certification within 30 days of hire
- Active engagement in a college program in a psychiatric or health-related field
