nVent is looking for a Manufacturing Operator Lead to set up, operate, and maintain progressive die press machines and other equipment to produce quality products. The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting skills, good organizational skills, and experience working in a light industrial facility.
Requirements
- Sets up and operates heavy-duty power equipment
- Performs duties required to assist setup and operate multiple automatic and/or multi-slide equipment
- Checks material for correct size, type, identification, configuration and color
- Assists with set-up of dies, movable and stationary equipment
- Competent use of micrometers, calipers, scales, tape measures, calculators and fixed gauges
- Moves materials using pallet jack, lift truck or crane (if PIT qualified)
- Installs and checks safety devices as needed
- Reports faulty equipment, defective material and unusual conditions to supervisor or other appropriate resources
- Observes and adheres to all prescribed safety rules and regulations
- Maintains work area in a neat and orderly condition
