Procurement Engineer, Nuclear Materials & Procurement

We are seeking a Nuclear Procurement Engineer to focus on assuring the availability of certified spare parts and materials needed to maintain and operate the High Flux Isotope Reactor (HFIR) and Cold Neutron Source plant systems.

Requirements

• BS degree in an engineering related field of study with 5 years of related experience
• Knowledge and understanding of applicable codes, standards, regulatory requirements and guidance
• Five or more years of experience in DOE, DOD, or NRC in design, procurement, or engineering
• Familiarity with the techniques used to successfully procure high-quality spare and replacement items
• Demonstrated understanding of reactor systems, components, and equipment
• In-depth knowledge of nuclear regulations, standards, and procurement guidance documents related to safety classification, procurement and receipt of items, and commercial grade dedication
