Job Description
Oaktree is seeking a Senior Associate / Vice President focused on restructuring. The candidate will participate in all transaction functions and portfolio management activities related to the strategy’s stressed and distressed credit positions.
Requirements
- 2 years of restructuring investment banking analyst experience
- 2-4 years in asset management, direct lending or private equity, ideally focused on credit investments
- Experience analyzing and negotiating debt restructuring transactions in a principal capacity
- Demonstrated ability to execute independently on multiple projects with limited oversight
- Polish/presence to work with senior professional at other firms and senior members of company management
- Working knowledge of restructuring legal framework, including bankruptcy law
- Outstanding financial modeling and analytical skills
- Demonstrated competency in financial statement analysis, business valuation, accounting and finance
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple competing tasks
- Strong motivation to cultivate and expand network of relationships within the restructuring community
- Collaborative, team-oriented, intellectually curious individual with strong sense of integrity and professionalism
