Job Description
OceanaGold is a mid-tier gold and copper producer seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to work with operational departments to develop and manage the annual capital budget, and perform cost-benefit analysis, risk assessment, and sensitivity analysis to support decision-making. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience in capital project accounting or finance, capital budgeting, and Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) processes, and will be responsible for providing insights and recommendations based on financial metric analyses to support investment decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field
- 5 years of progressively responsible experience in an accounting occupation
- 5 years of experience in capital project accounting or finance, capital budgeting, and Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) processes
- 5 years of experience working with project management software (MS Project or Primavera)
- 5 years of experience performing data analysis and reporting
