Sr Hospital Coder- Remote

Ochsner Health seeks a Sr Hospital Coder to review and accurately code complex hospital services, in-patient procedures, and overnight / multi-night stay services. The ideal candidate will have 3 years of coding experience, certification as a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), and excellent decision making and problem solving skills.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Completion of American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) accredited coding program with certification (preferred)
• 3 years of coding experience
• Certification as a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), or a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT)
