Job Description
Sanford Health is seeking a Coder, Hospital, Inpatient to review clinical documentation and apply ICD-10-CM and PCS codes for billing, reporting, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have an Associate degree in Health Information Technology or a related field, and be certified as a Coding Specialist (CCS).
Requirements
- Associate degree in Health Information Technology (or eligible) or Bachelors degree in Health Information Management and/or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) required
- Previous hospital coding experience highly desirable
- Prior computer and/or encoder software experience desirable
- Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) required
