We are looking for a Maintenance Technician (2nd Shift 3:30pm-12:00am) for our Westbury, NY facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical troubleshooting using wiring diagrams for controls, 3phase motors, relay, and PLC logic. In this role, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing, and upgrading the equipment used in our manufacturing process.
Requirements
- Read and interpret equipment manuals, electrical drawings and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Perform a variety of tasks to include, but not limited to, diagnosing problems with AC/DC electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, and hydraulic, and repairing of processing and packaging equipment.
- Keep detailed records utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS).
- Provide emergency/unscheduled troubleshooting/repairs of equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during planned maintenance.
- Manage parts inventory, ordering, restocking supplies and critical parts.
- Perform daily inspections and regular planned preventive maintenance on processing and packaging equipment.
- Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, digital multimeters, and maintenance shop tools in performing duties.
- Perform routine filter inspection and changes to dust collectors.
- Follow all applicable standard operating procedures (SOP's) and company plant and safety rules.
- Performs other duties as required.
