The Accident Prevention Coordinator will oversee the facility's Health and Safety program, serve as the point of contact on safety matters, and balance administrative oversight with hands-on inspections to ensure a safe work environment.
Requirements
- Serve as the facility Safety Officer; develop and implement policy; collaborate with management and employees to develop safety systems and annual safety goals
- Review, test, and audit safety practices, emergency procedures and work environments; assist in identifying accident prevention activities, including Employee Health and Safety training
- Coordinate Workers' Compensation claims'; investigate injuries/accidents and ensure they are reported according to policy; conduct accident analysis on all at work injuries and report findings; communicate with employees to ensure understanding and completion of forms
- Oversee the facility's Transitional Work Program; coordinate modified duty assignments with supervisors
