Job Description
The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction is seeking a Correction Officer to maintain control of the institution and provide for the safety and security of the facility, inmates, staff, and general public. The Correction Officer will supervise and direct inmate activity, assure assigned areas are clean and safe, and conduct inmate counts and searches. This is a rewarding and meaningful work opportunity with a second-to-none work family.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Valid driver's license for positions assigned to transportation section
- Commercial driver's license to drive vehicles qualifying as commercial
- Correction officer assessment or previous certification in position of correction officer
