CRNA

Under the medical direction of an Anesthesiologist, the Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) administers general and regional anesthesia for surgical, obstetrical, and other procedures. Assists with pre-anesthetic assessment, anesthetic care planning, and post-anesthesia care. Implements acute and chronic pain management modalities and responds to emergencies. Completes accurate documentation of patient care and transfers care to other qualified providers.

Requirements

• Licensed as a registered nurse in the State of Ohio
• Registered as a CRNA with the state Board of Nursing
• Training program at least 18 months post RN
• Competent in airway management and intubation
• Familiar with anesthesia related equipment
• Continuing education units related to anesthesia (40 CEUs every 2 years)
• ACLS Certification
