Job Description
The certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA) works under the supervision of a physician anesthesiologist to provide anesthesia services. The CRNA assists with the performance of pre-anesthetic assessments, develops anesthetic care plans, and initiates anesthetic techniques under medical direction. The CRNA also assists with post-anesthesia care, implements acute and chronic pain management modalities, and responds to emergencies.
