Internal Applications Architect

We are seeking an Internal Applications Architect with deep experience designing, building, and delivering enterprise-scale software solutions, ideally within Payments and/or Financial Services. This is a senior, hands-on engineering role for a technical leader who can own architecture and design decisions, guide complex implementations end-to-end, lead AI Adoption to improve delivery efficiency, and mentor engineers while remaining actively involved in development.

Requirements

• Provide technical and architectural leadership for complex initiatives, including system design, scalability, and resiliency.
• Guide adoption of AI-assisted development and platform capabilities, establishing guardrails to improve productivity, quality, and system reliability.
• Drive engineering excellence through design reviews, architectural standards, code reviews, and system documentation.
• Identify and resolve performance, scalability, reliability, and security issues across application layers.
• Champion automated testing and quality practices using appropriate frameworks for backend and frontend development.
• Mentor and coach engineers across the team, raising overall technical capability and influencing engineering culture.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, collaborate cross-functionally, and help balance technical quality with delivery timelines.
