Job Description
One Acre Fund is seeking a Nigeria Trees Specialist to lead the design and scaling of agricultural projects to improve farmer adoption and tree planting in Nigeria.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience designing and scaling forestry/agronomy trials, pilots, and innovation programs
- University degree in agriculture, forestry, development studies, environmental science, or related field
- Proven experience designing and scaling forestry/agronomy trials, pilots, and innovation programs
- Deep knowledge of nursery management, climate-smart agroforestry, and pest/disease control
- Skilled in monitoring, reporting, and analyzing trial results to provide actionable recommendations
- Expert in designing and rolling out sustainable farmer and nursery models
- Experienced in leading multidisciplinary teams within complex rural environments
- Highly organized, self-driven leader capable of managing competing priorities and cross-functional collaboration
