Job Description
Railway Car Technician – 268R Apprenticeship position at Ontario Northland Transportation Commission in Cochrane, ON, responsible for inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and remanufacturing railway passenger cars and freight cars, and performing preventative maintenance work.
Requirements
- Secondary School Diploma or General Educational Diploma (GED)
- Must be mechanically inclined
- Available for shift work
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
- Has knowledge of safety codes and has demonstrated ability to work in a safety conscious manner
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions and walk on rough terrain
- Good interpersonal and communication skills (oral & written)
- Commitment to Health and Safety
- Must have a valid driver’s license
