Job Description
OpenAI is seeking an exceptional Offensive Security Engineer to strengthen their security posture. This role is focused on proactively hunting for vulnerabilities and shaping security strategy through creative attack simulations, collaboration, and impactful influence. It involves testing agent-powered products like codex and operator systems, driving their resolution, and automating attacks. The ideal candidate will be a key contributor in securing agents and influencing security strategies.
Requirements
- 7+ years of hands-on red team experience or equivalent expertise
- Deep expertise conducting offensive security operations within modern technology companies
- Experience designing, developing, or testing assessing the security of AI-powered systems
- Experience performing offensive security assessments in at least one hyperscaler cloud environment (Azure preferred)
- Demonstrated mastery assessing complex technology stacks including Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, GitHub, macOS, and Linux
- Strong code review, identifying novel vulnerabilities skills
- Proven track record of vulnerability discovery and impactful solutions
- Excellent communication skills
