Job Description
OpenAI is seeking experienced software engineers to join the Applied Engineering team, working across research, engineering, product, and design to scale their AI technology. This role focuses on ensuring system reliability, scalability, and performance through collaboration, iterative development, and proactive monitoring. Success depends on resilience, speed, and the ability to handle a growing user base.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Proven experience as a reliability engineer or a similar role in a fast-paced company
- Strong proficiency in cloud infrastructure
- Proficiency in programming/scripting languages
- Experience with containerization technologies and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes)
- Knowledge of IaC tools (Terraform or CloudFormation)
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
