Granville College is seeking an experienced and passionate Paralegal Instructor to join their faculty. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, hands-on instruction in paralegal studies, preparing students for rewarding careers in the legal field.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Paralegal Studies, Law, or a related discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution
- Licensed and practicing Paralegal in good standing in British Columbia
- Minimum 5 years of recent, relevant experience working as a paralegal or legal professional in BC
- Demonstrated knowledge of British Columbias legal system, court procedures, and administrative processes
- Proficiency in legal research, legal writing, and case management software (e.g., Clio, PCLaw, Amicus Attorney)
- Strong understanding of legal ethics, confidentiality, and professional responsibility
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and support diverse learners
- Experience with instruction, training, or mentoring in an academic or professional setting
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS), such as Canvas, considered an asset
- Experience in curriculum or program development considered an asset
