Architect/Senior Principal Engineer, Oracle SaaS

The Oracle SaaS Engineering organization builds and operates the Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications service. We are looking for a Senior Principal Engineer (Architect) to design and develop high-availability and service continuity solutions across the entire stack. The ideal candidate will have experience in system/application architecture/design, distributed cloud engineering, and strong technical knowledge in SaaS or PaaS engineering.

Requirements

• MS/BS in Computer Science, Engineering or related fields
• 10+ years experience in system/application architecture/design along with database, infrastructure and networking experience
• 6+ years software development experience in a distributed cloud engineering environment
• Strong experience and detailed technical knowledge in SaaS or PaaS engineering
• Experience in building large scale applications and services
• Strong development experience in Java, C++, or similar OO languages
• Experience with containers (Dockers, Kubernetes) and other cloud native components
• Experience with Python or other scripting languages for developing automations
• Experience in developing resilient and fault tolerant systems
• Experience working with multiple engineering teams across organizations
• Written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear, concise manner to all audiences
• Comfortably in a collaborative, agile development environment
