Part-Time, Animal Care Technician

The Animal Care Technician 1 is a part-time role responsible for providing high-quality care to animals in residence at Oregon Humane and facilitating interactions with the public. The role requires a strong customer service background, animal handling experience, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The role is based in Portland, OR and requires weekend and holiday work.

Requirements

• 1 year related work experience in customer service, retail, food service, animal care/handling, and/or a high-pressure, high-volume work environment
• Basic working knowledge of computer software programs
• Proficiency using the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge and experience working with a wide variety of dog and cat breeds
