Sourcing Specialist I

The Sourcing Specialist plays a key role in supporting sourcing activities across energy supply and technology categories, including foundational purchasing and negotiation responsibilities, and assisting with sourcing strategies, proposal analysis, and contract preparation.

Requirements

• Four-year degree or comparable experience in purchasing and negotiations
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word
• Ability to independently research issues and solve problems with minimal supervision
• Solid understanding of purchasing methodologies, terminology, and techniques
• General knowledge of purchasing laws and rules
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment, support shared goals, and continuously develop skills through education and training
• Willingness to travel to meet with suppliers and attend conferences
