The Certified Medical Assistant works alongside Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers to provide direct patient care according to state and federal guidelines. This position plays an important role in the ambulatory setting by not only performing clinical and administrative duties but also helping patients feel at ease and understanding provider instructions.
Requirements
- Certified Medical Assistant I or II
- Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) certification
- One of the following certifications: Medical Assistant - American Medical Technologists (AMT), Registered Medical Assistant - American Association of Medical Personnel, Registered Medical Assistant - American Allied Health, Certified Medical Assistant - American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant - National HealthCareer Association, National Certified Medical Assistant - National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant - National Association for Health Professionals
