Board Members - Ethics Advisory Board

Our Future Health is seeking members for its Ethics Advisory Board to provide ethical advice and challenge to ensure the programme operates to the highest ethical standards. The board provides a platform for experts to discuss topics related to data ethics, bioethics, and genomics. The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in one or more areas, such as artificial intelligence and data ethics, predictive health risk feedback, and social sciences.

Requirements

• Significant expertise in one or more of the areas of artificial intelligence and data ethics, predictive and health risk feedback, bioethics and applied/clinical ethics, genomics and population health research, social sciences and public attitudes on data uses, equity and inclusion.
• Knowledge of ethical issues relevant to the use of health information in the UK within the research context, with knowledge of ethical issues at the intersection of research and clinical care.
• Strong commitment to the interests of Our Future Health’s participants.
• A collaborative and constructive solutions-driven approach, with a commitment to the mission and broad objectives of Our Future Health.
• The ability to devote sufficient time and energy to positively contribute to the board.
• Ability to engage constructively with differing perspectives during deliberations whilst respecting and maintaining the confidentiality of discussions.
