Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Accountant to join our team in Auckland, New Zealand. This role will suit a proactive individual with strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of accounting principles.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification or working towards it is preferred
- 1-2 years of experience as a Financial Accountant or in a similar role
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB) and MS Excel; experience with ERP systems is advantageous
- Solid knowledge of New Zealand accounting standards (NZ IFRS) and tax regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in the preparation of financial statements and audit support
