Teaching faculty at Owens Community College are responsible for supporting student success, creating an optimum learning environment, and providing high quality instruction. The applicant will be responsible for quality instruction and for effective participation and interest in the total affairs of the college.
Requirements
- Master's degree
- One term of teaching experience at the post-secondary level, including developing lesson plans and assessments preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Patience and flexibility
- Ability to integrate a variety of methodologies in order to facilitate student learning
- Understanding of the needs of community college students
- Ability to manage a classroom
- Ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines
- Ability to evaluate student work fairly using Department guidelines
