Applicant Pool for Adjunct Faculty, Lab Assistant, Broadcasting/Video Production

We are seeking a qualified instructor to teach in the recording arts, broadcasting or music technology lab. The instructor will monitor and assist students while they work in the lab, and must have knowledge of and integration of appropriate practices of teaching to different learning styles. The instructor must also have strong skills in written and oral communication, problem-solving, critical thinking, and computer use.

Requirements

• Classroom and/or online instruction in the discipline
• Knowledgeable in the discipline and provide high quality instruction
• Strong skills in written and oral communication, problem-solving, critical thinking, and computer use
• Ability to integrate a variety of methodologies in order to facilitate student learning
• Understand the needs of community college students
• Manage a classroom, including organizing and presenting material, designing lessons and activities that will facilitate student learning, and monitoring student behavior and performance
• Follow instructions and meet deadlines
• Recognize students' strengths and weaknesses in the discipline and provide feedback to students in such a way as to facilitate their learning
• Evaluate student work fairly using Department guidelines
