Applicant Pool for Tutors, Information Systems Technology

IST tutors will work one-on-one or in small groups with undergraduate students, supporting students' success by creating an optimum learning environment and leading students to a greater understanding of course materials.

Requirements

• Knowledge of student-centered tutoring strategies.
• Must be knowledgeable in the tutoring discipline.
• Experience tutoring and/or teaching at the college level is desirable.
• Strong interpersonal skills and computer skills are necessary.
• Ability to multi-task, collaborate with others, and work independently.
• Be able to analyze student's needs and explain materials in a variety of ways to build confidence and comprehension.
