This Assembly - Material Prep position at Owens Corning, located in Fort Mill, SC, prepares components for the layup line, ensuring correct materials are available and quantities match production schedules. It involves reading materials, checking for quality, measuring parts to specified dimensions, and maintaining accurate records. Duties include inspecting parts, rejecting bad materials, and ensuring accurate cut and count.
Requirements
- Reads/interprets schedules, pulls accurate materials.
- Read/interpret tickets/schedules to determine correct materials.
- Adds correct amount of cull boards and rejects bad cull boards.
- Records schedule # line # stack # date and initials on each stack.
- Highlights/identifies special cut skins and measures to cut.
- Uses tape measure to verify accuracy and cut to specifications.
- Validates accuracy and prepares skins for cutting.
- Reads and writes in English.
