Operator I

The Operator I position is the operations expert for the packaging process, ensuring quality and quantity of packaged goods conforms to company standards.

Requirements

• Follows all Owens Corning safety policies and procedures
• Knows plant EPA goals or requirements and ensures goals are met daily
• Handles startup and shutdown duties pertaining to packaging equipment
• Ensures packaging machines are in good repair and work in accordance with company regulations
• Performs regular and preventative maintenance on packaging machines
• Monitors correct product weights and ensures they are maintained throughout the shift
• Handles waste and ensures a clean and orderly work area
• Educates workers on exercising caution to avoid accidents and prevent injuries
• Maintains daily reports regarding packaged products and storage and delivery orders
• Reports any problems to appropriate personnel and carries out emergency procedures
