PAE is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead and manage multidisciplinary project teams, deliver high-quality mechanical engineering solutions, and serve as a technical leader and mentor within the organization. The ideal candidate is collaborative, detail-oriented, and skilled in project leadership, communication, and delegation.
Requirements
- Project team leadership and management
- Preparation of deliverable documents including narratives, calculations, drawings and specifications
- Attending client meetings and leading the coordination effort between external and internal project teams
- Independently evaluating and applying engineering judgment, techniques, and procedures to complete a project from concepts through construction
- Proficient in mechanical system design, HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection and Energy Modeling
- Assembling effective project teams and developing project workplans, tasks and assignments for the team
- Thorough understanding of interdisciplinary coordination and advanced understanding of the application of building codes and mechanical industry standards
- Overseeing engineering calculations and equipment selection, performing site visits and issues reports, and providing training, guidance and mentorship for staff
- Providing updates to master specifications and standards, and improving company processes, developing client relationships and overseeing the application of the project quality management plan (QMP)
