Job Description
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides quality and person-centred nursing care to residents in a supportive environment, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to achieve mutually agreed-upon health outcomes. Other responsibilities include prioritizing and managing resident care, identifying and providing support to residents and their families, and respecting and advocating for residents' rights. The LPN must also demonstrate knowledge of computer skills to document resident care and understand the impact and implications of informatics and technologies in healthcare.
Requirements
- Graduated from a recognized program for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN)/Registered Practical Nurses (RPN) or equivalent
- A minimum of one (1) year recent related experience
- Proof of valid license/registration/certification from one of the following provincial College: British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP), College of Licensed Practical Nurses Association (CLPNA); and, Registered Practical nurses Association of Ontario (RPNAO)
- Certified in First Aid as required by provincial legislation
