Job Description
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is a supervisory position responsible for assessing, monitoring, implementing, evaluating, and documenting Resident care. The LPN works in partnership to improve the performance of team members and the organization in providing improved customer service for Residents and families.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited School of Licensed Practical Nurses.
- Current Registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta.
- Certified for administration of oral medications, narcotics, and subcutaneous injections.
- Completion of Physical Assessment Course.
- Intramuscular injection course and certification in CPR is preferred.
- RAI/MDS COMPETENCY IS REQUIRED
- Excellent verbal and written skills in English language.
- Good knowledge, attitude, and skills in dealing with geriatric and/or physically and mentally disabled persons and their families.
