Construction Manager

Manage on-site field construction activities for a medium-size Design-Build project, coordinating with Engineering and subcontractors to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity. The ideal candidate has 15+ years of experience in field construction and a Bachelor's Degree in a construction-related field.

Requirements

• Directs the overall planning of construction activities to identify critical milestones and priorities
• Coordinates with Engineering for Engineering support to Construction for Design activities to facilitate execution
• Manages the project construction schedule along with all required subcontractor & staff coordination's and implied tasks
• Determines budget estimates and staffing requirements for the defined scope and schedule
• Establishes assignments for functional Construction Superintendents for various work areas of construction operations
• Conducts performance evaluations and recommends promotions and salary actions
• Manages the assignment of manpower, materials, and equipment to maximize efficiency, maintain schedules, and to meet budget goals
• Ensures the use of sound construction practices to attain required quality control at the maximum efficiency and minimum cost
• Prepares periodic reports summarizing progress of construction activities for higher-level management and clients
• Ensures effective implementation of all Company and client policies and procedures, including labor relations policies
