Requirements

• Participate in customer planning sessions to define networking requirements
• Design and implement IPv4 network architectures, including subnetting and address allocation
• Configure and maintain network devices (routers, switches, firewalls) using industry-standard protocols and best practices
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot network services and applications on Linux-based systems
• Assist in designing and implementing approved networking and transport solutions aligned with long‐term IS goals
• Install and configure network equipment; provide support to systems administrators
• Monitor systems to improve network performance and lead troubleshooting efforts across local and external sites
• Apply DoD Information Assurance (IA) policies to the design and maintenance of communications solutions
• Manage and maintain a library of network engineering tools for system testing and diagnostics
• Apply advanced engineering principles to develop and maintain network standards, procedures, and guidelines
• Maintain current knowledge of networking security best practices and implement them across systems
• Produce documentation for installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and operator usage
• Contribute technical content and tutorials to product documentation
• Support Agile workflows (Jira, Confluence, GitLab)
• Provide onsite support in a classified environment (remote work limited to short-duration NIPR with sponsor approval)
